Dr. Angela Hille is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Washington and specializes in Psychological and Neuropsychological assessments. She first became interested in psychology during high school when she befriended an exchange student from Germany. When the school year ended she accompanied her new friend back to Aachen, Germany and spent a few weeks with that family doing some traveling around the area visiting Germany, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. It was so fascinating to see the cultural and individual similarities and difference in people, and her interest in social psychology was born. After graduating high school, she attended Eastern Washington University majoring in Psychology and minoring in Philosophy and Spanish. She was also active in the music department, playing trumpet in the jazz and marching bands. She graduated with both University and Departmental Honors in 2002 and went on to attend Eastern Washington University to earn her MA in Clinical Psychology a couple years later.
At that time, she wanted a change and moved to the island of Hawai’i and worked at Kealakehe Elementary School in their Primary School Adjustment Project (PSAP). She completed a school year there working with early elementary students and tutoring students at Kahakai Elementary School after school hours. At that time she loved working with students and became very interested in how individuals learn and remember, pay attention, and process information. She also went surfing with friends and loved living on “island time”. However, she knew she needed to further her education so she could be the one to conduct the evaluations for students and families to help them learn!
At the end of the school year, she moved back to the mainland in order to pursue her doctorate degree in clinical Psychology. She attended APA accredited Fielding Graduate University while also working as the coordinator for the Park County Pediatric Community Care Team, which was a team of professionals who serve youth throughout the county and came together to strategize ways to work together to provide the best services possible. Prior to graduation she completed her internship at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and Children’s Hospital in Spokane, WA. Through connections there, she learned about Neuroeducation, Inc and the psychological services they provided to children and families. Dr. Hille conducted psychological and neuropsychological assessments and provided counseling at Neuroeducation, Inc for five years before leaving in fall of 2019 to start MasterMind Psychology, P.S. In addition to assessments, Dr. Hille is also interested in peak performance training and life coaching. She is always learning more and is passionate about helping others live their best life!
Dr. Hille is married to Travis Hille and they have a daughter. Together as a family they love adventure. They like to snow ski and can be seen in the summer on the water enjoying sun and water sports behind their boat. They also like to travel together, and went as a family to Sweden and Finland instilling in their daughter a craving for learning and adventure. Dr. Hille also likes photography, being active, and hanging out with her Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Radar.
